Week 3 Photorama!

I got carried away and fell a little behind on the blog assignments. Week three required us to look at Flickr's API. I opened an account with flickr as required. However, I had already decided that I would use Friday Techtip After Digital photo Rodeo. I love that program because when it comes to managing photos in my opinion, I believe Picasa would be my first choice.

Week 2 Blogging

To establish my blog, I have decided to use Blogger.com because it seemed easier for me being first time user. I must confess it is very addictive. Sometimes I find it hard to stop, however, its fun. I guess because I write about things I care about.

Week 1 Life long Learning

First time I heard about Tech-Learning at Boatwright Library. I was worried but at the same time I wanted the challenge. I welcomed the opportunity because technology has become so pervasive in our society and workplace. Every week some new technology is introduced. I knew that this was the time to jump on board the tech bandwagon and start to rock and roll.

Introduction

Peace Nursey and Primary School started as basically a Nursery School. It developed gradually. The main goal for this school was to help educate children who were not able to attend city schools because of school tuition and other requirements. Mainly these children were orphans whose parents had died of AIDS. These children had no hope.

The School's Mission is to create God-fearing, hardworking, and disciplined children.

SCHOOL MOTTO: GOD GIVES WISDOM

We believe that the chance for the children to be educated is a God-given right that should not be neglected. It is therefore our duty to help children who are disadvantaged at every cost and to attain an effective and efficient learning system for individual community and National Development.

SCHOOL ANTHEM
Peace Nursery and Primary
Moulds us for future in everything,
We are blessed by God
Who gives Wisdom Eternally!

Our uniform is white and red
Symbol for our seriousness
Keep our standards and lives safe,
Long live our school
Proprietress, headmistress and teachers

Here the vision I had for these children
AS we all know children are gifts from God. No matter where you live or come from we're all looking for a better life and deserve that opportunity.
When someone hear that you started a school they will have about ten different questions.
How much money you had to stay the school.
How have you managed, run and maintenanced.
